Using Modern Technology in Native Alaskan Classrooms:
Grounding Methodology in Theory, History and the Goals of the Local Community
This paper is about students I teach and how modern technology can affect them. It is a call for cross-culture awareness and thinking about the consequences that modern technologies can have before using them a classroom. It advocates for teachers in cross-cultural environments, specifically Westernized teachers with non-Western students, to seek the input from the community and community leaders about how technology should be included in education.
